In India Nursing Courses is being regulated by Indian Nursing Council ( INC ) and conducted by State Nursing Council and Health Universities of various States . As per INC there has two type B.Sc Nursing courses in India
1. B.Sc Nursing ( 4 Years ) – For Freshers 10+2 Science Students who have at least 45% (SC / ST-40% ) aggregate marks in Physics , Chemistry and Biology with English as one of the subject and passed individually all subjects and not less than 17 years as per INC guideline.
2. Post Basic B.Sc Nursing ( 2 Years ) – For Registered G.N.M nurses who have completed their 10+2 in any Stream. This can be done through distance mode without leaving nurses job.
The duration of MSc Nursing program is two years. Examinations are held annually. The teaching is incorporated with clinical experience in respective specialties. The students are required to submit a dissertation as a partial fulfillment of the program. Students are given an experience of organising a workshop and conference with the support of faculty.
